Set up Block-Time in five minutes.
First Launch
Block-Time walks you through a short setup wizard on first launch covering three things: who you are, how you want times displayed, and which FRMS ruleset applies to your flying.

Crew & Ops Data
This section has two cards — Crew Info and Operations.
Crew Info
- Log Flight Time As — Capt for P1 time; F/O for P2 or P1U/S time; S/O for P2 time
- Log PF time as — Shown when F/O is selected. Choose ICUS (P1US) or P2
- Default Name — Pre-fill your name for your seat. Leave blank for none
- Log S/O Names — Show S/O name fields when logging flights
Operations
- Inst Time when PF — Auto-adds instrument time when Pilot Flying: None, 15, 30, 45, or 60 min
- Log Approaches — Track approach types (ILS, GLS, RNP, AIII, NPA) per flight
- Default Approach — Shown when Log Approaches is on; pre-fills approach type on each new flight when PF
TipYou can change any of these later under Settings → Crew & Ops Data.

Flight Information
Choose how Block-Time formats and displays flight data across the app:
- Fleet Selection — Sets A/C registrations shown by default and enables ACARS Capture if available
- Airline Prefix — Add a prefix to all flight numbers (e.g. QF)
- Full A/C Registration — Show full reg (VH-ABC) or short (ABC)
- Preserve Leading Zeros — Keep leading zeros in flight numbers: 0405 vs 405
- Airport Code — ICAO (YBBN) or IATA (BNE)
- Times Entered In — Enter departure & arrival times in UTC or Local time
- Times Shown In — Show dates & times in UTC or Local time
- Flight Times Displayed As — Decimal hours (1.5) or HH:MM (01:30)
- Decimal Rounding — Shown when Decimal is selected: Standard or Alternate rounding
NoteLong A/C Registration, Leading Zeros, and Airline Prefix can't be changed after flights are saved without using the Edit button in the Logbook tab.

FRMS Configuration
Select the fleet that governs your FRMS limits:
- Shorthaul — A321 & B737
- Longhaul — A380, A330, B787

Tap Complete Setup
The app opens to the main logbook. You are ready to start logging.
